SEPTEMBER
September 5-6
*Rehearsal for Nutcracker ( Flowers and Variations) Friday 5-9 pm and Saturday 10-3 pm
This is for the dancers that are in the Thursday night JADCO rehearsal. All of your pieces will be set or at least
started this weekend.

AUDITIONS - Fairy Tales at Teays Valley Studio
All dancers are invited to attend! Everyone will be cast. Rehearsals on Saturdays at Teays Valley Studio.
Additional rehearsal and costume fees for this show.
1 pm 5-8yrs / 1:30 pm 9-11yrs / 2:15 pm 12+yrs
OCTOBER
October 4
Heartwood in the Hills
Advanced Ballet with Jude. Day trip to Calhoun County. Leave Charleston 1030 am arrive in
time for lunch. 1.5 hour barre class. Break and then 1/5 hour center class. Leave and head home. Advanced Ballet Only. Cost is 40.
October 6
Bring a friend to Dance Day.
This is a great opportunity to share our studio with a friend who dances
somewhere else and to be able to dance together for the day!
October 12
FestivFALL
Kristen Boyd will be directing and choreographing for the carriage trail. 1-4 pm (no Fee)
Note: Rehearsals will be in addition to regular classes. Company A and B if interested talk to Kristen.
October 17-19
Dance WV Fall Festival (cost TBA)
Deadline to register and pay is the first week of classes, September 8-11. NO REGISTRATIONS will be accepted after this deadline. Dancers ages 8 and older. Overnight dance weekend, Cedar Lakes, WV.
October 25-26
The Soloist Program
This is a very specialized program for very serious dancers. 10 advanced dancers are the limit. ages 12+. Guest Choreographers and instructors are brought in for two full days to enhance the “U” in You. Cost 1200.
NOVEMBER
November 1
WVU Dance Concert
Concert and Tour of University. Open to all ages 13+
Possibly a rehearsal for Co A and B at Kat & CO. Studios / Cold Play
November 8
AUDITIONS- The Coffee Tin Tales
All ages are encouraged to audition! All dancers will be cast.
Additional rehearsal fee and costume fee, depending on the dancer's role.
11 am ages 8-9 / 12 pm ages 10-12 / 1:30 pm ages 13+ / 3 pm ages 6-7 / 4:30 pm age 5

Fairy Tales School Shows
The cast will perform in area Putnam County elementary schools for their friends and teachers.

Fairy Tales Performance
Dress Rehearsal & Performance at 7 pm at the Capitol Theater on Summers Street in Charleston.

Hurricane Christmas Parade 12 pm
Teays Valley dancers will learn a parade dance in classes leading up to this date. Dancers will rehearse in the Teays Valley Studio parking lot that morning.

Student Evaluations with Panel of professionals. Dancers ages 6 and older may register to have their skills tested and get feedback on where they stand. Panel of judges will put the dancers through a session to evaluate and score them. Cost is 50.00 for ages 6-8 and 90.00 for ages 9 and older.

Adjudications for WV Dance Festival (this is for Company Dance pieces for the WVDF)

MADI Mid-Atlantic Dance Initiative 3 full days of master classes and concerts
(founded on 2020 January Wolfe. Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center
3 full days of master classes, forums, concerts and fun. Cost starts at 225.00
June 15-17
Ballet Intensive 2026
3 evenings of master classes with guest artist 5-8pm Cost is 300.00 (30.00 per class)
July 6-29
Summer Academy Classes
2 days a week of regular classes in all styles of dance. 100 for each class for the entire month. Classes cap out at 4 and all classes after 4 are at no charge.
August 15-16
Contemporary Dance Intensive
2 days of master classes with guest artists. Saturday 1-5pm and Sunday 10-2pm. Cost is 300.00
